New Employment and Private Client Solicitors Appointed
January 2011: The last few months of 2010 have seen two new faces at Houghs in Carlisle in the form of solicitors, Kerry McNally and Emma Green in the employment law and private client departments respectively.
Kerry joined Stephen Unwin in the employment department in June after completing her training contract with Rawlison Butler LLP in West Sussex to undertake a full range of employment litigation and advice with a particular interest in unfair dismissal claims. Kerry was delighted to join Hough Halton & Soal as it is the only firm in Cumbria retained by a major trade union to advise its members on employment matters. Kerry is looking forward to assisting Stephen in developing the department and to continuing to provide clients with the high level of advice and care that they have come to expect from the firm.
Emma started work in the private client team in September after completing her training in Sheffield. She studied Law with German at the University of Dundee and spent a year at the University of Muenster in Germany before returning to Sheffield to do the Legal Practice Course. Emma provides additional capability and experience in the private client deparment with particular emphasis on wills, probate and residential conveyancing. She is enjoying being part of the team and is looking forward to taking part in expanding the work of the private client department in 2011.
